At 8AM EST today HTC made their newest flagship the HTC 10 official. The device which comes as no surprise due to the numerous leaks in the past few months. It boasts an impressive set specs with Hi-Fi audio, a premium build and impressive imaging performance being emphasized.

HTC is no stranger to aluminium, the beautiful chassis of the HTC 10 is a testament to that. It is crafted from a single piece of aluminium and features both chamfered edges and subtle curves.
The imaging setup is a 12MP Ultrapixel rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera both with OIS and f/1.8 aperture. The rear camera also features laser autofocus and a dual-tone flash. HTC touts the 10’s DxOMark score of 88, which places it among the current best.

The HTC 10’s audio performance is no slouch either. It has a 24bit DAC for Hi-Fi audio output and BoomSound™ Hi-Fi edition speakers. In some markets high performance in-ear headphones will also be included.
Other notable specs include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 64bit quad-core processor, a USB type C with Quick Charge 3.0, a fast finger print sensor, and a 3000mAh battery.
What about pricing and availability you say, this may be where the let down happens. The HTC 10 will be a Bell exclusive in Canada with availability beginning in early May. The phone is also available direct from HTC and unlocked for $999CDN, only the 32GB model will be sold unlocked in Canada.
There is however a launch promo available to Canadian which applies a $100 discount: HTCCA1008
